Oxygen Deficiency Monitoring

In MRI suites there is always the possibility of cryogenic gas spreading throughout the patient area and creating an oxygen deficient atmosphere. For this reason it is always recommended to install an Oxygen Monitoring and Alarm System which can warn in case the oxygen falls below a safe level. Oxygen in air is normally 20.9% by volume and below 19% can affect the ability of humans to respond in a rational manner.
