GaussAlert™ helps keep MR Conditional equipment safely outside the MRI exclusion zone by providing an audible alarm when preset magnetic field thresholds are exceeded. When equipment moves too close to the MRI magnet, GaussAlert delivers a clear, attention-getting warning to reduce risk.
Medical devices used in MRI environments—such as infusion pumps, injectors, monitors, and anesthesia equipment—can malfunction or degrade image quality if exposed to excessive magnetic fields. GaussAlert significantly reduces these risks by continuously monitoring ambient gauss levels.
GaussAlert is also effective for alerting staff when MR Unsafe equipment, including crash carts or resuscitators, is brought too close to the magnet room. Available in three factory-preset thresholds (10, 30, and 100 gauss), it attaches easily to equipment, requires no maintenance for up to five years, and operates with internal power for continuous monitoring.
GaussAlert complements the FerrAlert Halo Entry detector by monitoring equipment that has already passed through the portal and remains inside the MRI suite.
