The Medium ACR MRI phantom was approved for accreditation in mid-2021. It has a 7" diameter cylinder, 6.125" cylinder length, with various fixtures inside including a dinosaur, drilled plate, membrane stack, ramp, resolution block, and S-N chamber. This newly available size enables the capture of images for MRI accreditation and quality control (QC) with the same coil that is used to acquire most clinical brain images. The medium phantom eliminates the extra handling of MR coils in order to conduct required technologist QC.
