Sat Pads Breast Imaging Kits |
| Sat Pad Breast Imaging Kits were developed to deal with specific problems associated with Fat Sat and Contrast Issues in Breast Imaging. Kits have been developed for 4 channel, 7 channel, and 8 channel coils. The pads contain a perflourocarbon fluid that contains no hydrogen atoms and has magnetic susceptibility similar to that of human tissue. They will contribute no signal to the MR Image. These imaging kits reduce the influence of the human body on the magnetic flux, improving the homogeneity of the main field. They will attenuate field distortions caused by sharp angled anatomies such as breast and chest walls when performing breast imaging. The breast kits eliminate air-tissue interfaces making the target areas more spherical. There is an 8-channel kit that contains an Accusorb MRI Extremity Shielding blanket that was designed to rid image artifacts that may show in the Sagittal and Transverse view. |
