Sat Pads

Sat Pad is a MRI image enhancement device somewhat analogous to the x-ray bolus device that have historically been used to improve image quality in radiographs.

The Sat Pad is filled with a non-protonated fluid which has a magnetic susceptibility to that of water containing tissue.

When used during MR imaging, Sat Pad improves the ability of chemical shift fat saturation software to suppress fat signals, primarily by eliminating air tissue interfaces. The homogeneity of the local magnetic field is improved and , as a result, our soft wares help your software perform as it was designed to work.

The perfluorocarbon liquid is nontoxic and chemically stable, and like gaseous chlorofluorocarbons, perflouorocarbon does not harm the ozone layer and is not regulated as a hazardous chemical.
