FerrAlert System:

The FerrAlert System consists of FerrAlert PreScreen and FerrAlert Entry to supplement current screening procedures. This combination ensures the most comprehensive way to reduce the risk of injuries, mortality, quenches, and damage to the magnet. Each part ot the System (PreScreen or Entry) can be purchased separately.

FerrAlert PreScreen:

The FerrAlert PreScreen is set to a very high sensitivity to detect objects as small as a hairpin. This unit is typically placed in a dressing room or the interview/screening area. If an object is detected the operator will be Alerted by a visual and audio alarm.

Unlike other types of detectors, FerrAlert PreScreen emits no electromagnetic radiation to detect objects. Titanium. plastic, wood, copper, aluminum and all other non-magnetic materials not attracted to the magnet will be ignored.

When FerrAlert PreScreen is turned on, the device passively looks at the local magnetic enviroment and normalizes to it. This process allows static ferrous objects to be ignored. When a moving ferrous mass is detected within the Portal, both audio and visual alarms are activated. At the console, the operator will be given information regarding the object's location in the Portal, as well as it's size and ferromagnetic attraction potential. At the Portal the green light will extinguish and the amber light will illuminate. The alarm can be set to automaticaly reset or require operator intervention.

The FerrAlert PreScreen consists of two primary components: The Operator Console, and the Portal.

FerrAlert Entry:

The FerrAlert Entry is used to detect larger items that may be brought into the scanning room.

Like the FerrAlert Prescreen the FerrAlert Entry emits no electromagnetic radiation to detect objects. Titanium. plastic, wood, copper, aluminum and all other non-magnetic materials not attracted to the magnet will be ignored.

When FerrAlert Entry is turned on, the device passively detects the magnetic fringe field and normalizes to it. This process allows static ferrous objects to be ignored. When a moving ferrous mass is detected within the Sensor Array, both audio and visual alarms are activated. At the console, the operator will be given information regarding the object's location in the doorway, as well as it's size and ferromagnetic attraction potential. At the Sensor Array the green light will extinguish and the amber light will illuminate. The alarm can be set to automaticaly reset or require operator intervention.

The FerrAlert Entry consists of two primary components: The Operator Console, and the Sensor Array.

The FerrAlert Entry is also avaliable in a Mobile version.
